Ryder Cup 2025: Saturday Morning Foursome Pairings
The Friday afternoon Four-Balls are nearing completion and the United States is trying to claw their way back into the Ryder Cup... but Europe is standing strong at Bethpage Black.
A bright spot all afternoon for the U.S. has been Justin Thomas and Cameron Young, who've jolted to a commanding lead over Ludvig Åberg & Rasmus Højgaard.
Tomorrow, the teams go again in morning Foursomes starting at 7:10 a.m. ET. Pairings will be announced by captains Keegan Bradley and Luke Donald within an hour of the conclusion on Friday afternoon Four-Ball matches.
In Foursomes, each two-man team plays one ball per hole with the players taking turns until each hole is complete. Players alternate hitting tee shots, with one leading off on odd-numbered holes, and the other hitting first on even-numbered holes. The team with the low score on each hole wins that hole. If their scores are tied, the hole is halved.
To understand how the captains select their pairings for these formats, we put together a selection primer to help.
