September 27, 2025 23:05 UTC
Since Europe became part of the Ryder Cup in 1979, no team on either side has ever headed into the final day with an 11.5 - 4.5 lead until the 2025 contest at Bethpage Black.
A big Sunday awaits both teams with the opportunity to make history: While the U.S. Team will have the opportunity to produce the largest comeback in Ryder Cup history, Europe will have the chance to achieve their biggest ever winning margin, previously winning 18.5 - 9.5 in back-to-back years at Oakland Hills (2004) and The K Club (2006).
Here are a list of the largest leads in Ryder Cup history heading into the final day.
